Tyre pressure sensor valves (TPMS)
Many vehicles are fitted with TPMS valves, these are fitted with a sealed battery that only lasts for between 5~7 years. Once the battery fails you need to replace the complete unit inside the wheel. I had a customer last week who was quoted £200 per wheel by his local garage, we did the replacements with original parts for £86 per wheel..... A big saving. Most TPMS valves are self learning when they come to resetting to your vehicle, there are some odd ones, where it is necessary to have the computer reset at the main dealer.
