Ann Holden is an embroidery tutor of many years experience and teaches workshops in many textile related subjects, including City and Guilds Embroidery, and Patchwork and Quilting at Craven College in Skipton. Ann has had about 25 articles published in embroidery and textile magazines. She also teaches one day workshops in a variety of venues including the Quilters Guild Museum in York, Spinning Jenny in Gargrave, and MKC, the Bernina people in Leeds. Previous venues include the Bowes Museum, Skipton Castle, Embsay Mills, Mercer Gallery and RHS Gardens at Harlow Carr. Ann has also held workshops for groups such as the WI and Embroiderers' Guild branches all over Yorkshire. She has recently started embroidery workshops near her home in Ripon. Classes include stumpwork, goldwork, silk paper making, canvaswork and machine embroidery. Ann was invited to join Textilia III in January 2011, and exhibited with them at Signature Gallery Kendal from 1st November to 31st December 2011.
