Absolution and Authority
Part of a series inspired by the cathedrals of northern France. The absolute perfection of the Gothic cathedrals when new links with the absolute moral authority of the church in the past. It also explores the search for the infinite through the finite, looking for God through the tracery of the stained glass windows. Constructed with Potassium Permanganate dyed threads buttonholed onto curtain rings, bangles and wire florists frames and beaded. Set in a box frame above the surface to give a wonderful shadow effect in strong light.
