Sequins On My Balcony - a charity event for Breast Cancer
Myself and fellow dance teacher Anne Kingston organized this event for May 4th 2015. Sequins On My Balcony is a one-woman show by Yvette Cowles who herself as suffered three bouts of cancer and created this show to raise funds for the charity Just Because, helping women in Egypt who also suffer from this disease. Alongside the show, we also held a raffle to further gain funds. Many local businesses donated prizes towards the raffle, as well as a few offering sponsorship to help with our funds. It was a very stressful few months, but coming out on the other side, I can proudly say we raised over £500 for the charity! It was an overwhelming success!
