2016 Always Argyll Tour - 5 Days
• Isles of Mull & Iona • Lochaber, Glenfinnan & Fort William • Kyles of Bute & Tighnabruaich On three full day excursions we stay mostly within the Argyll borders. The Tour gives you an excellent appreciation of the most remote and wildest areas of the Western Highlands. The excursion to the Isles of Mull & Iona, takes in a ferry crossing to Mull, touring the Island, then travels further by ferry across to Iona. Iona has a magnificent Abbey, dating from the times of Saint Columba, and the across Mull journey is breath-taking and exhilarating all the way. The excursion to Glenfinnan visits the place where Bonnie Prince Charlie raised his standard in 1745, and is also the site of the bridge scene made famous in the Harry Potter films, overlooking Loch Shiel and the Jacobite monument. Our excursion to South Argyll takes in magnificent coastal scenery and views of the Kyles of Bute.
