Diploma in Contemporary Vocal Teaching
The Diploma is one of our most popular courses, and is particularly suited to those who have some teaching experience, but can also be taken by beginner teachers. If you are a singer or singing teacher age 18 or over, with a solid background in performance, and wanting to improve and add to your teaching skills and knowledge of a range of contemporary vocal pedagogies, then this course may be the one for you! Please note, applicants must have 3 A Levels at grade B or above, or a BTec National with a final grade of M/M/M or better (or equivalent). This course allows you to choose 9 credits-worth of units, in the form of either 3 x 3-credit units or 1 x 6-credit and 1 x 3-credit unit. We have an extensive range of units available and we promise you will be spoilt for choice! Simply choose units which enhance or contrast with your existing knowledge and experience. Additionally, you will study the fascinating and complex subject of vocal registers in great depth - something which we feel to be crucial to all serious vocal coaches - and will have ample opportunity to hone your teaching skills in the teaching practise units, which are assessed live via Skype.This course is a great opportunity to gain a respected qualification in your chosen field, under the guidance of one of our highly experienced and encouraging tutors.
