Winter cricket training structure
The idea of cricket training outside in cold wet English weather in the middle of winter may seem inconceivable if you are a cricketer however with the help of Field and Lawn this was made a possibility for the England Cricket Team. Field and Lawn's Bristol branch provided a large 15m x 55m clearspan structure on a raised 4m leg, complete with clear PVC to the England training camp on the outskirts of London. Prior to the team's tour to Sri Lanka at the end of 2014, the large structure complete with a bespoke guttering system was built spanning three of the prestigious grass wickets. The dry wickets in combination with the natural light levels achieved through the clear PVC fitted to the roof and walls and the industrial heating units provided the England team with the optimum conditions in which to train. The installation of the marquee significantly increased the quality of practice for the team and they hope to use the structure for their benefit next season. Field and Lawn have branches in Edinburgh, London, Manchester and Bristol with each branch having the capacity to provide structures ranging from 3m to 30m in width.
