Bass lessons
What will I learn? - That’s entirely up to you! Whether you can come to my Castle Douglas, Dumfries studio, have bass lessons via Skype or FaceTime, order personalised bespoke videos or watch my YouTube videos (JaneGuitarQueen) I can help. Whatever genres and styles you are interested I can tailor your bass lessons to suit. There are certain skills that all bassists need such as playing arpeggios, reading chord charts and reading TAB. These things come in to most things you will play. Other things are optional like scales, theory and music reading, but I recommend that you at least learn the basics as it will help your playing immensely! I can base your bass lessons around the genres and styles you like to play, for example rock or slap style. I like to make sure you get to play the songs that you want to play. At first some of them might be a bit advanced but it’s good to have a goal! What styles do you teach in bass lessons? - I teach many different styles for bass lessons and all the specific techniques that come with each. Genres include blues, metal, rock, pop, jazz and funk.
