What will I learn? I teach strumming and picking techniques in banjo lessons. I use many traditional tunes, teach how to read TAB and also how to play solo and backup banjo. If required I can also teach scales, improvisation and theory for the banjo. What styles do you teach in banjo lessons? I teach the three finger ‘Scruggs style’ and also clawhammer styles in banjo lessons. These are bluegrass and old time styles of playing that use the 5 string banjo. Clawhammer is more of a strumming style while three finger style is more fingerpicking that uses finger picking patterns called rolls.
