Carpentry

01/01/1970

I look at carpentry with the same ethic as my stonework - I see the finished item and then work to realise it. I might be presented with something which is completely gone and only fit for the fire, and sometimes, it is just that. At other potential jobs, like the finished doors in this image, the doors were too important to put in the bin, so I refurbished them including repairing their shattered stiles. I can hang doors or make them on site to suit. I do 1st and 2nd fix carpentry too which is both structural and finishing, so loft conversions from flooring to roof timbers and purlins, down to skirting boards and architrave, fitting furniture to doors or creating dormer windows. I set the same standards for myself so my clients get the best of me. Otherwise I simply wouldn't do it - there wouldn't be any point. I have also worked on animal shelters, pole barns, stables, sheds, fencing, gates, large doors, flooring and so much else besides. I hope you like it.
