Energy Performance Certificate (domestic)
An Energy Performance Certificate is required if you are selling or renting your property within the UK. Following an assessment of your property by a qualified and accredited energy assessor an EPC will be produced rating the energy efficiency of your property on a scale of A to G. This will give a prospective buyer or renter an indication of the running costs of the property before they commit. It is a legal requirement that an EPC be made available during a viewing of the property.
