Winter tyres (Snow tyres)

Winter tyres are made of a rubber compound that stays supple in temperatures of below 7 degrees Centigrade, at these temperature Summer tyres harden losing traction, braking distances increase, and you can lose grip when accelerating and cornering. Winter tyres also have around 400 sipes (small slits in the tread) these are to grip if we should get snow. When having winter tyres you do need to have all 4 tyres changed.
