Royal Sussex Traditional Trug Gardening Basket
This is the original Traditional Trug as invented by our founder, Thomas Smith, back in 1829 and which he made famous by selling some to Queen Victoria at The Great Exhibition in London in 1951.  Still hand crafted using locally coppiced sweet chestnut for the handles and rims and re-cycles cricket bat will for the boards. Trug shown is the Garden Trug but there are seven other styles from which to choose.  All woods come from sustainable British woodlands.  Ideal for all gardening uses and many applications in your home as well.
