Trwyn was originally established in 1997 and has since developed new patented technology to allow explosive materials to be detected. The company focuses on developing sensor technology based products, targeted at many different market sectors. Trwyn essentially provides innovation in the application of sensor technologies, with a strong chemistry back ground, and business management history, we are well placed to research and develop sensors for commercial exploitation. Our activities centre on the development of new innovative electrochemical sensors for environmental, defence, and health and safety monitoring, based on new materials, substrates, and surfaces. We also specialise in the application of novel instruments, including hand held ones, with new techniques for the measurement of electrochemical signals. Due to our history we have full knowledge of modern analytical technologies relevant to the successful implementation of measuring techniques and the study of surface structure and properties. Trwyn has previous experience of involvement in partnerships to develop and exploit technology. We are experienced in networking knowledge and interaction across both UK industry and academia, and are familiar with seeking opportunities for private financial support both internally and externally in order to support exploitation.
