Birth Doula
As a Birth Doula I will provide the following service. Unlimited email and phone support throughout your pregnancy At least 2 antenatal visits in your home to talk through any previous births and then discuss your hopes and needs for this birth. Here is a list of some of the topics we can cover during the antenatal sessions:- Any hopes or fears you have of the labour ahead Physiology of birth Pain relief during labour Your birth plan Your birth rights Breathing and relaxation Breastfeeding Baby care On call 24 hours a day from week 38 to week 42 When you go into labour I will come and support you in your home when you need. Whether you decided to have a home birth or hospital birth I will be there to provide constant support to you and your partner throughout your labour and birth 1 or 2 postnatal visits to talk through the birth and address any concerns you may have with caring for yourself and your newborn baby Further support with breastfeeding (if this is how you have chosen to feed your baby) Further email and phone support for 6 weeks postnatally I abide by the Nurturing Birth code of Practice
