Established in 1989, Machine Building Systems is the exclusive UK distributor for the Item aluminium profile system and Elcom flat belt conveyors.The Item system consists of hundreds modular anodised aluminium T-slotted extrusions with thousands of compatible components that, when assembled together, produce bespoke assemblies that include machine frames, machinery guarding, linear motion systems, conveyors, workstations, jigs and fixtures.Elcom conveyors are also based on a modular concept. Utilising Item extrusions and sets of additional standard components, conveyors of varying width and length can be manufactured with a choice of speed and motor position, as well as options for side guides and support stands.Extremely high stock levels are kept at Machine Building Systems' purpose built Ripley factory with next day delivery offered as standard.
