CD and DVD Glass Mastering
We can provide you with the full service for glass mastering, converting your premastered disc or tape into something from which stampers can be created. Our process for glass mastering is as follows: We upload the files from your master copy to our server network. Using a laser we then record your files onto a glass master substrate. This exposed glass master is then metallised to form physical structures (pits) that represent your data. A 'Father Stamper' is created by electroforming the glass master into a Nickel disc. At this point we can create a family of stampers if required, including a Mother Stamper and Son Stampers. Then these stampers are set to the required finish and size by polishing and punching. The stampers are tested both physically and electronically to ensure quality. Once quality has been assured, the stampers are passed over to our pressing plant.
