Exeter Consultancy Launches A Prize Web Site
Revell Research Systems, the management and technology consulting practice based in Exeter, has just launched a web site to promote its student prize at the University of Plymouth. The consultancy established the prize last year to mark the start of its 21st year in business. The prize will be awarded this year to the top final year full-time student on the university's BSc(Hons) in Computing degree. The consultancy's managing consultant, Alastair Revell, said "We are hoping that the prize will encourage the students on the programme to really excel. I would very much like to wish them all the very best of luck as they approach their final exams this coming term." The consultancy, which was established by Alastair Revell in 1985, provides independent and unbiased IT strategy advice, offers networking and systems engineering expertise, and develops software and web sites for businesses in the West Country and further afield.Fiona Burgess, the practice's Business Development Manager, said "Alastair Revell has been closely involved in the development of several IT qualifications awarded by the university, so it seemed appropriate to mark our 21st year in a way that encourages future computer experts to excel."The prize was awarded last year to Sara Sheridan who was the top student on the FdSc Internet Technology in Business programme, an award made by Plymouth University, but run at the Exeter Business School.
