Cumbria Wildflowers is a wildflower nursery and wildflower suppliers. We offer a wide range of UK native plants, distributing plants in Cumbria, the north west, Scotland and throughout the UK. Our plants can be bought as plugs, bulbs and rhizomes, trees, shrubs and seed mix. Wildflowers in your garden are a great way to attract wildlife as they are a great food source for insects and birds. Habitat losses over the last 60 years have created a patchwork of small wildflower sites. We want to change this and provide services to landscape and habitat restoration schemes and for private gardens. Our clients include conservation organistations; local authorities; housing groups; schools; utility and construction companies and private individuals.Cumbria Wildflowers can offer a consultancy service to undertake soil surveys and produce a planting plan based on your own conditions. We also have a team who can undertake landscape design and planting schemes and carry out the planting.

We are here to help at any time of the year as any wildflower field, plot, garden or area in your garden needs to be carefully planned and considered before any work can commence. Here at The Stables in Great Orton we have been undertaking a major project converting a former riding stables and adjoining fields to create a purpose built home for Cumbria Wildflowers. Everything we have done to date and plan to do in the future has carefully considered the environment, been architecturally planned and financially considered with the overall operation of the Company in mind. Establishing our operations on the one site has not been an easy exercise or without its share of problems but we continue to progress in the endeavour of completing an effective, modern business for the 21st Century, embracing all that is essential and precious in our beautiful countryside. We sign up to the Flora Locale Code of Conduct as sustainability is at the heart of what we do. You can buy seed which is supplied either by the client or by Cumbria Wildflowers Limited and at any time we are here to help so please call or email us to progress your requirements or to arrange a meeting.
