Business profile

DUNLOP BUSINESS SOLUTIONS is a one man business, offering the full range of accountancy service to the self employed and small businesses. It was started in 2000, and is run by Hugh Dunlop who has four qualificationsdegrees in finance and accounting----ACIS, FFA/FIPA and FIAB. Dunlop Business Solutions can assist You to ensure your tax and VAT returns are accurate and your payroll is completed on time.Let me take the strain of making returns from you, and let you concentrate on running your business. Latest date for filing online was 31st Jan 2016. Thousands missed this date, and an automatic penalty of £100 was made. UNLIKE PREVIOUS YEARS this is due whether there is no tax to pay, a rebate of tax is due (normally CIS workers), or tax is due to be paid. It can take several weeks for your registration to be acknowledged by HMR & C, but in the meantime your accounts can be prepared ready for filing, taking advantage of ALL taxable allowances. Your accounts will be prepared and you will be asked to confirm the details, and after your approval they will be filed online. HMRC will e mail an immediate acknowledgement of receipt, tax due or tax to be refunded. My first client came to me just after I had started in business. He stated he was a CIS worker, and others he had spoken to stated that they always got tax rebates, but according to the workings of his current accountant, he was always due to pay tax. He asked if I could have a look at his accounts, advise him, and the cost of doing so. I said I would gladly look at them and if I could find they were in order, there would be no charge, Afew days later, I advised him his accountant had not been claiming all the expenses he was entitled to, and I would file his proper return for my normal fee. He duly received a substantial rebate and is still my client. His total fees over the 14 years do not total the first rebate I got him. So he is in pocket that way, and gets further rebates every year.
