LEV Testing & Servicing

01/01/1970

Any LEV system (dust or fume extraction system) is required to be tested at least once every 14 months. In practice this means ever twelve months with two months to rectify any defects. There are exceptions to this 14 month rule as follows :- Processes in which blasting is carried out in or incidental to the cleaning of metal castings in connection with their manufacture (Every month) Jute cloth manufacture (Every month). Processes, other than wet processes, in which metal articles (other than gold, platinum or iridium) are ground, abraded or polished using mechanical power, in any room for more than 12 hours per week (Every 6 months). Processes giving off dust or fumes in which non-ferrous metals castings are produced (Every 6 months). As you would expect from a professional Industrial Ventilation Company with such experience, we thoroughly understand the workings of any fan assiste d system, and as such we can offer this service with absolute confidence. All of our LEV testing Engineers are BOHS P 601 qualified, and CRB cleared. We currently provide this service throughout wider industry, and are privileged to work at many schools and colleges, and similarly sensitive sites. Should you require us to carry out regular annual services, or simply take responsibility for the good and proper working of your LEV system, we would be pleased to take on this task. We can supply and install any dust filter bag or cartridge, including secondary or absolute filers. Indeed we can supply any part for any filter. We can also provide filter maintenance schedules for clean room and high care facilities. This would generally include a validation certificate. We also undertake ductwork cleaning for industrial systems, which can make a surprising improvement. This would generally include a report with air flow figures indicating performance improvements.
