Personal & Static monitoring
Airducts perform qualitative and quantitative surveys in order to evaluate potential air contaminates, using current sampling methodology and equipment. Monitoring is used when you need to show compliance with a Workplace Exposure Limit (WEL) or Biological Monitoring Guidance Value (BMGV). There are two basic types of monitoring: • Personal monitoring means measuring the substance in the workers breathing zone to show that the control measures are adequate. This often requires the operator to carry a sampling pump and sample collecting device. • Static monitoring is used to measure the substances at many points in the wider working environment to help identify any secondary sources of exposure.
