Atlow Mill is approached down a private drive, the property benefits from the public footpaths leading from the front door, which, without a huge amount of effort, lead you to nearby Carsington Water Reservoir, Madge’s Ridge with both the Tissington and High Peak walking and biking trails close by. The local market town of Ashbourne is only 5 miles away, offering restaurants, wine bars and evening entertainment, should you require them. Other nearby attractions include: Alton Towers (15 miles), Chatsworth House (13 miles), Sudbury Hall & Museum of Childhood (14 miles), Kedleston Hall (8 miles), with Derby, Dovedale, Matlock, Buxton and Bakewell within easy reach. The accommodation is spread across 3 floors: Entering on the ground floor, where there is a large lounge with comfortable seating for 10 and additional bean bags for lounging. A kitchen diner with Cooker, Fridge and microwave, is set up to allow you to cater for yourselves, or you can taste test one of the local restaurants or pubs. On this floor is also the twin bedroom and single which can accommodate an additional temporary bed along with a toilet with shower. On the ground floor you will find sleeping accommodation for 10 people, split across 2 large bedrooms. Bedroom 1 sleeps 4 in 2 twin beds and a set of bunk beds, bedroom 2 sleeps 6 in 2 twins and 2 bunks. Also on this floor are 2 toilets, 2 showers and one toilet with shower. On the top floor, for the larger groups, we do have the facility of an additional large bedroom, currently set up as 3 bunks and 2 twin beds. This room is ideally suited for large parties. Rental Prices for the Main Cottage (not using the large additional Bedroom): £550 per week £450 for a 3 night break For an additional charge we may be able to provide Half Board catering with delicious home made vegetarian food, please feel free to contact us to discuss our availability.
