Professional orchestra based in Kent, with members who also play in London orchestras and throughout the country. Flexible in size - can expand from small to large ensemble and can provide music for both indoor and outdoor venues (e.g. 'Proms' concerts). Varied programmes include education projects for primary schools, as well as working with international artists and providing a platform for outstanding young musicians. Also available to accompany choirs, operas etc., and interested in establishing further relationships/collaborations with these. Has special interest in performing music by lesser-known early to mid 20c British composers, and, where possible, helping to promote works by new composers. About to embark on 3rd concert tour of China at the end of 2013, with 10 concerts including performances in Beijing and Xi'an.
