Trained as a fashion designer and illustrator, Carol Ryder has worked in and around the fashion industry for more than 20 years.As an independent fashion designer and illustrator, Ryder has sold collections to retail - with an outlet in Kensington's prestigious Hyper Hyper - and to wholesale, with Carol Ryder collections being sold both Nationally and Internationally via agents and London fashion fairs.In 2001, Carol Ryder began a second career in education, as a fashion lecturer at Liverpool John Moores University, and in 2006 began producing detailed stitched portraits.Carol Ryder continues to steer a portfolio career, carrying out commissions in fashion illustration and portraiture, lecturing in a variety of subjects connected with fashion, textiles and illustration, and writing magazine articles and academic papers for publication.All enquiries welcomed.
