ESI Group joins Dassault Systèmes' PLM MarketPlace
Paris (France), 29 January 2008 – ESI Group (ESIN FR0004110310), a leading supplier of simulation software for prototyping and manufacturing processes, has announced its acceptance to Dassault Systèmes’ PLM MarketPlace after successfully meeting the technical and business requirements. ESI Group will be able to extend its sales network for its CATIA-based simulation applications. “We are delighted that ESI Group has joined the PLM MarketPlace. This program creates business synergy and is an integral part of our company strategy to facilitate value channel network selling,” says Thierry Collet, Vice President of Global Field Marketing at Dassault Systèmes. “Referenced on the PLM MarketPlace, ESI Group’s specialised simulation applications built on top of our CATIA platform solutions are well positioned and directly accessible by Dassault Systèmes’ worldwide reseller network.” Dassault Systèmes’ PLM MarketPlace is an online community that connects software development with business partners. Through PLM MarketPlace, resellers can easily search and find complimentary solutions provided by Dassault Systèmes’ software partner community on demand, in order to present customers with a holistic PLM solution. “The PLM MarketPlace allows ESI Group to offer its CATIA-based solutions to composites and stamped parts designers and manufacturers, through sales professionals familiar with the traditional CATIA market,” says Vincent Chaillou, President of Product Operations and COO at ESI Group. “We are sure that it will successfully complement ESI Group’s existing worldwide sales network to further develop our CATIA-based applications business.” ESI Group provides diverse applications for CATIA users. In the composites field, PAM-QUIKFORM for CATIA enables composites designers to get fast feasibility assessments of manufacturability inside the CATIA Composites application. PAM-RTM for CATIA offers a unique injection-simulation software package for composites manufacturing integrated into CATIA. ESI Group’s portfolio of applications also includes metal-forming solutions, part-feasibility checks and rapid die creation with PAM-TFA and PAM-DIEMAKER for CATIA. About ESI Group ESI Group is a pioneer and world-leading supplier of digital simulation software for prototyping and manufacturing processes that take into account the physics of materials. ESI Group has developed an entire suite of coherent, industry-oriented applications to simulate a product’s behaviour realistically during testing, to fine-tune the manufacturing processes in accordance with the desired product performance, and to evaluate the environment’s impact on product usage. ESI Group’s products, which have a proven track record in manufacturing and have been combined in multi-trade value chains, represent a unique collaborative, virtual engineering solution, known as the Virtual Try-Out Space (VTOS), enabling virtual prototypes to be improved in a continuous manner. By drastically reducing costs and development lead times, VTOS solutions offer major competitive advantages and make it possible to eliminate gradually the need for physical prototypes. This integrated protocol allows all the company’s solutions to work with each other and with applications developed by independent software vendors. By significantly reducing costs and development lead times and enabling product/process synergies, VTOS solutions progressively eliminate the need for physical prototypes during product development, thus offering major competitive advantages. ESI Group is listed on the Eurolist compartment C of Euronext Paris, and generated sales of €66m in 2006. The company employs over 600 high-level specialists worldwide, and covers more than 30 countries. Virtual Try-Out Space(r) and VTOS(r) are registered trademarks of ESI Group.
