About Us:
The business was established in 1986 by Eamond Murray and Jim Dalgleish. Jim was later bought out by Eamond , who ran it for a further 20+ years before selling it through an MBO to Jim King (with the company 30 years) and Jamie Cleghorn (with the company 11 years). The MBO was in August 2017. The company bought WT Specialist Contracts Ltd (based in Uckfield) in 2007. WT was then dissolved and fully absorbed into the main company at the start of 2016. The company still has a separate office in Uckfield, which is now known as the Southern Division.
Services:
All the company's services are related to drilling. The majority of turnover comes from Geotechnical work which involves installing ground anchors (into rock) and soil nails (into soil) to stabilize the ground. This may also involve covering the area with mesh e.g. to make safe a rock face. Traditionally approx. one third of turnover comes from drilling and blasting, where holes are drilled in rock and filled with explosives to blast and remove large quantities of rock.
