Defensive Arts moved from Surrey to Exeter in the summer of 2011. I teach Aikido to adults and children, Self Defence for Women and provide instructors for After-School clubs. The courses I run are informal and relaxed and teach using English rather than Japanese wherever possible. The key philosophy is enjoyment...the life-skills you learn will flow much more easily if you are having fun. I have run six courses for Exeter University and also for a private company based in Exeter and London. I deliver Women's Self Defence classes at Exeter College for their Adult Learning programme.In addition, Women's Self Defence courses are being held from time to time at the Exeter Phoenix and, shortly, other venues in and around Exeter.Andre de Mendonca - InstructorApril 2013
