Thermal wool socks made from Alpaca fibre.Alpaca (a cousin of the Llama) live at an altitude on the Alti-plano (high mountain plateau of the Andes) of over 10,000 feet and have acclimatized over the millennia to the harsh conditions of their environment, from searingly hot days to temperatures below freezing during the night. For this reason the fleece has evolved into such a special fibre - being lightweight yet extremely insulating.
