A Hume Country Clothing, opened their doors for business in 1929 and have remained owned and run by the Hume family ever since, operating from exactly the same premises. Archie Hume is the third generation to run the business and how times have changed since his Grandfather's day. We are based in a small thriving country town called Kelso, which is situated on the banks of the world famous River Tweed, in the heartland of the Scottish Borders. Our area is renowned for its textiles - Hawick, the home of cashmere, is 30 minutes away from us and the mills of Selkirk, Peebles and Galashiels are all within easy reach.We specialise in top quality ladies and gentlemen's clothing and carry a huge range of stock ranging from formal to casual wear and can attire you for any occasion whether it be weddings and more formal events, sporting activities or casual occasions - we have something for everyone. We like to describe our stock as traditional, with a contemporary twist.
