A Family History Research Centre is now open at Bleak House, 200a Ealand Road, Batley, WF17 8JX. Starting soon, we will be offering FREE beginners taster classes. If you are interested! Please make contact and leave your details, so that we can advise you of start dates as they become available. We offer a Drop-in/Research facility for Family History and Ancestry searching, with Ancestry Library, Find My Past and various other search engines. The Centre operates on a drop-in basis and always has an un-paid volunteer(s) available to act as an advisor/helpers. Visitors require to have basic IT skills as most research is done by computers. The Centre is open: Monday, Thursday & Friday Mornings 9.30am to 12.30pm and also Wednesday afternoons 2.00pm to 4.30pm You can also follow us on Facebook: BleakHouse FamilyHistory Admission is free, but a donation of £2.50 per person would be welcome to help towards running costs and new equipment. Tea and Coffee is available. You may bring your own laptop and store gained information direct.
