Usui Reiki - £45.00 WHAT IS USUI/REIKI? Reiki (Pronounced Ray-Key) is a safe and natural hands on Universal Energy Therapy. It was re-discovered by Dr Mikao Usui at the beginning of this century. Reiki is also known as the Usui Healing System. Through extensive travels, research and meditation Dr Usui developed a healing system based on ancient Sanskrit teachings. He spent the rest of his life teaching and practising it wherever he went. Usui - Reiki promotes and accelerates the bodies own healing abilities. Reiki means Universal life force energy. We are all alive because of this natural life force energy that flows through each one of us. WHAT IS A TREATMENT LIKE? You will lie down fully clothed to receive a Usui - Reiki treatment, although a Usui - Reiki treatment can also be given to someone sitting if necessary. The Qualified Practitioner / Teacher will gently place their hands on pre-determined parts of the body where they remain still. There is no need for clothing to be removed as treatment is given through clothing. The Universal Life Force earth energy will flow through the practitioner's hands bringing healing to wherever it is needed. Usui - Reiki is a holistic treatment, healing at all levels: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. There are often reports of a deep level of relaxation felt that is said to be equivalent to three or four hours normal sleep. HOW LONG DOES A TREATMENT LAST? Consist of 40mins hands- on energy treatment, allowing 20 minutes after treatment discussion. Subsequent treatment, if necessary, consists of up to 10 minutes consultation to catch up on how you have progressed, and up to 40 minutes hands-on energy treatment, with 10 minutes after treatment discussion. If you think you would like/require extra counselling time you can pre-book half hour sessions to be added to your treatment time at a cost of £22.50 per 30 minutes.
