Rock Climbing in the Lake District
Rock Climbing in the Lake District One of the more challenging outdoor adventure activities in the Lake District, rock climbing engages participants in fundamenal skills; pit yourself against the rock, choose your route, find the holds and muster the courage and commitment to make the move; the potential for personal fulfillment is immense. Our instructors will provide guidance and support and will operate the safety rope or train participants to do so under their close supervision. We provide harnesses, helmets and climbing shoes and we work at a wide range of crags scattered around the Lake District varying from 10 metres to 240 metres. Some climbing locations offer much easier challenges than others, so our instructors will be able offer options appropriate to the capoability of the participants, from novices to experienced developing climbers and crag-hardened veterans. We offer rock climbing taster and introductory sessions, multi-pitch and one-to-one guiding, and if the weather is atrocious, we may use indoor climbing walls. All equipment is provided and your rock climbing is supervised by professionally qualified and highly experienced instructors. A rock climbing introductory or taster session might last three to four hours, though our one-to-one guided rock climbing and more advanced rock climbing courses might last several days.
