AfSUG was established following consultation events with mental health service users organised by Birmingham Mind at the request the Pan Birmingham Mental Health Commissioning Team We have been funded, for an initial period, by the Birmingham Primary Care Trusts, which currently commission mental health services in Birmingham in partnership with Birmingham City Council, and we receive assistance from Digbeth Trust Our mission is to influence professionals, challenge stigma, inform the public, and champion quality mental health services
