Acupuncture is a life passion of interest in health and well being whether the problems are physical, emotional or mental. Over the 20 years of being an acupuncturist, I have been able to gather a wide range of treating experiences to use to alieviate discomfort and pain. Acupuncture is used in the NHS and is also accredited with the Professional Standards Authority. The first session consists of taking a detailed medical and personal history and the first treatment taking about one and a half hours. Follow up sessions include a review of how things have been and the treatment is based on this experience. This method of treatment has been used for over 2,000 years and is used all over the world. I am an active member of The British Acupuncture Council (www.acupuncture.org.uk) The World Health Organisation states that acupuncture can be used for many symptoms.
