Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS)
I have replace TPMS systems on 3 vehicles this month, where the owners have damaged them removing the dust caps. Some like the Jaguar and Chrysler are easy to do - they reset themselves upon driving, but others like the Peugeot have to go back to the garage to be re-programmed.Either way it is a costly valve system, and from 2012 all new cars will have some form of monitoring system.
