Feb 2012: Powerstar continues growth with new Australian office
EMSc (UK) Ltd, one of the UK's leading energy saving solutions manufacturers, is expanding its international footprint into the Asia Pacific region with the opening of a dedicated Powerstar office in Australia. The decision to open a dedicated subsidiary was made due to the overwhelming success Powerstar, the world's leading voltage optimisation solution, has achieved in Australia over the past few years. The new office, which will be headed by account manager Doug Hamilton, will allow the company to further develop its market presence. Powerstar is a unique voltage optimisation system with a patented design that actively reduces electrical energy consumption and has been proven to save up to 26.1% of consumed electricity. The solution is fully designed and manufactured to the highest standards in the UK and holds the acclaimed Made in Sheffield accreditation. "Powerstar has been available in Australia for several years and has successfully been installed across a wide range of industries including government departments, supermarkets and cold storage facilities. The system has truly established itself as a market leader in voltage optimisation," commented Paul North, international business development manager. Mr Hamilton, who has worked extensively to raise awareness of the Powerstar voltage optimisation system in the UK, will be responsible for promoting the revolutionary system and the Powerstar team's expertise throughout Australia. He will also be responsible for establishing contact and relationships with customers and identifying local manufacturing and installation partners. "I've had a long association with Powerstar and when the opportunity came up to set-up the office in Australia, I was very excited to take it," says Mr Hamilton. "I will be doing my best to continue developing market opportunities for the number one choice in this region." The award-winning Powerstar system is exported worldwide to countries including Sri Lanka, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Malta and South Africa, and the office in Australia will see the full range of fixed, variable and domestic voltage optimisation solutions introduced to the market. Mr North added: "As a company with a clear aim to deliver energy saving solutions to customers globally, the opening of our Australian office will contribute greatly to our international business, which is already experiencing exponential growth due to our extensive network of distributors. In addition, Doug's previous success demonstrates his ability to drive the business forward and we are confident that he will help us lead the way in Australia."
