Overview: This training course provided the practical knowledge and skills to manage asbestos in buildings and audit asbestos removal projects. Who should attend? Anyone who has a duty to manage asbestos in non-domestic premises under Regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations, i.e. building owners, building managers, owners of small to medium sized company premises, etc. What will you learn? You'll learn about asbestos legislation; how it applies to the management of asbestos in buildings; identifying the main types of asbestos; recording and locating asbestos in buildings; risk assessment and prevention of further damage; developing an action plan; understanding asbestos remediation and the options available; safe working practices and managing any asbestos that is to remain in situ.
