Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE)
A systematic evaluation to determine an individual's ability to perform purposeful and meaningful tasks in a safe and dependable manner. The FCE system used by Obair Associates involves an in-depth, customised evaluation that combines both objective measures and professional clinical judgment in order to determine an individual's current capabilities. Consideration is given to postural and mobility tolerances, upper limb function, manual handling, fitness and endurance, as well as the effort provided and the reliability of pain and disability reports.
