Inspired by a personal experience with chiropractic treatment at a young age, Gareth Lloyd achieved a B.Sc. in Biological Sciences at Portsmouth Polytechnic in 1976, before gaining a Diploma of Doctor of Chiropractic from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth in 1979. Following this, he practised in Southampton and Plymouth before establishing Cardiff Chiropractic Clinic in 1982.
