Two delightful self-catering holiday cottages. They are tranquilly situated on a quiet private lane in the small farming village of Alton in Derbyshire. Located on top of a hill, they have fantastic views over the valley below with Harwick Hall and Bolsover Castle visible on the skyline. The cottages are cosy and equipped to a high standard and both have a four star rating from VisitBritain. Columbine Cottage has 3 bedrooms and sleeps 6. Foxglove Cottage has 2 bedrooms and sleeps 4. They can also be booked together to accommodate family groups of up to 10 people. There is excellent walking from the doorstep with horse-riding in the village. The "Crooked Spire" town of Chesterfield and the resort of Matlock Bath are both within a few miles. Weekly bookings generally run from Saturday to Saturday between June and the end of September but contact us or check the website to check other availability. One pet welcome in each cottage.
