Duck Flighting
At Quidenham we have up to nine duck ponds that can be flighted. All birds are wild. We can take up to six Guns and we usually put two at each pond. Non toxic shot must be used for all Duck & Geese Shooting - NO lead shot. We charge a fixed fee of £675 + VAT divided equally amongst the Guns. This price is charged regardless of how many birds are shot. We would normally expect a bag of 40-50 but have had bags of over 80 in one flight. The exact number of the bag is hard to determine as generally not all birds will be picked that night as it can be very difficult to find all the quarry in the dark and often in water. We also shoot over Eccles Carr. This is a large area of water on the Quidenham Estate with a lot of Mallard, Gadwell and Teal as well as many wild Geese. We can cater for up to eight Guns round the Carr at each flight. The fixed charge is £800 + VAT divided equally between the the squad. We have put in paths all round the Carr but it still does get wet in places so please bring appropriate footwear.
