DYMB play in carnivals, fetes, fairs and concerts throughout the year. In recent years we have been making regular trips to France to perform and meet up with friends that we have made over there. We go on an annual camp to Devon to perform in the impressive Kingsbridge Carnival, as well as making trips to the beach, Woodlands Theme Park etc. The band also run sponsored events raising funds for the band and other charities, such as runs and cycles which members are encouraged to be a part of.The well established band has been in existence since 1996 after becoming independent from the Scouts, previously being the East Dorset Scout Band. In May 2009 DYMB were given the official title of Wimborne Town Band. The band is run by a team of very experienced leaders and management team. The majority of the leaders have grown up in the band and are the first point of contact for any member of the band as the leaders play in the band itself. Find out more on our website: www.dymb.org
