Voltage optimisation VPhase
Flatline your voltage .. ..the VPhase voltage manager provides significant reductions in electricity costs The voltage of the electricity supplied to your home or business needs to vary to ensure that the distribution network works effectively, offering the best supply to all users at all times. Many appliances use less energy at low voltages, so it makes sense whenever the voltage is high to manage, or optimise, it. VPhase provides this optimisation. Household appliances must be designed to operate satisfactorily within the European statutory range, (208V - 253V). In the UK our voltages have been historically at the high end of the range, at 245V but many of the appliances that we use regularly will use less energy at low voltages so voltage optimisation can improve their performance. These include lighting, refrigeration, other white goods, appliances with motors, pumps and some entertainment products. Voltage management with a VPhase provides energy efficiency by reducing and regulating the supply voltage on connected circuits to a set level where more devices operate more efficiently. Whenever the incoming voltage is higher the VPhase VX1 voltage manager reduces it to the set level, typically 220V (in UK), without compromising performance of the appliance. The amount of energy that will be saved by optimisation with VPhase depends on the specific device and the level of voltage reduction, so typically varies from a few per cent to 15% and more. Electrical heating devices that operate to a thermostatically controlled level will not save energy by optimisation and continue to consume the same amount of energy even if voltage is reduced Voltage management with a VPhase VX1: - significant reductions in electricity costs (10% +) - simple to install (for a professional electrician) VPhase is available from the Home Energy Centre, Ilminster t. 01460 250986 info@thehomeenergycentre.co.uk
