When the market crashed there was a boom in these alleged property-buying companies that offered pennies for houses. Some offers were so low they were criminal. Due to the market they were able to take advantage of vulnerable people who needed a quick house sale. You would find these companies would offer around 40-65% of the market value of the property which is absolutely disgusting.People would accept these offers simply because they had no alternative. They were in a desperate situation to sell due to their circumstances and had no other choice.Estate Agencies would take too long to get a sale regardless of what they promised so that alternative was no good. They became a victim of these companies and they took advantage.
