In spite of its name, The Attic isn't tiny and can accommodate up to four adults and it is also pet friendly - feel free to bring your family dog with you! The apartment is just 100 metres from the seafront and offers offers competitively-priced and comfortable accommodation. The Attic can sleep either two couples or one couple and up to three children. It is the perfect base from which to explore everything this enchanting corner of south-west Scotland has to offer. Portpatrick is a popular destination for those seeking a relaxing break by the sea with stunning coastal views to enjoy. The village itself oozes charm with its pastel-coloured buildings and quaint cottages and is centred around a picturesque harbour. The property comprises a kitchen/diner with an oven/cooker, microwave and washing machine; a bathroom with shower/bath; and two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two singles. Travel cot available. TV/DVD and satellite channels, free WiFi and USB charging points are also available. There is on-street parking and a large public car park nearby. The property is a few minutes' walk from both the centre of the village and the rugged and spectacular coastline for which this part of south-west Scotland is renowned. We regret the property is not suitable for wheelchair users. The Rhins of Galloway coastline, both north and south of Portpatrick, boasts a number of secluded bays and beaches while the area benefits from the Gulf Stream passing nearby. This ensures a mild climate where sub-tropical plants and trees flourish as witnessed by the Logan Royal Botanical Gardens just a few miles from The Attic. Portpatrick is at the western end of the 212-mile long Southern Upland Way which runs from the village across the South of Scotland to Cockburnspath on the east coast. The crescent-shaped harbour's sandy 'beach' is accessible and popular with families in the summer months. The Attic is a great base for those who love coastal walks, quaint little harbours, cosy pubs, sailing and fishing, golfing, bird-watching and sea angling. It is also a brilliant place for children to spend a summer holiday and don't forget, you can bring the pet pooch along too!
