Art psychotherapy uses our innate creativity to encourage self expression and self exploration, and can help with many mental health problems. It is particularly helpful when people find it difficult to express themselves in words. I have 30 years experience of working with children, young people and their families, as a teacher and art therapist. I am particularly interested in working with groups of people for whom psychotherapy is difficult to access. I have an MA in Autism and for the last 10 years have specialised in working with clients with autism, and those with a learning disability. I work flexibly and can come to clienst homes if nec cessaray. I have worked with clients with anxiety, depression, anger management, stress, abuse and bereavement issues, post traumatic stress, dementia and eating disorders. Because successful therapy depends on the relationship between client and therapist, I offer an initial session to meet and discuss how i work, free of charge.
