The Old Schoolhouse is a unique, converted self-catering home situated in the captivating small town of Kinross, a short walk from the popular Loch Leven Heritage Trail & Castle. Golf courses, super restaurants, quirky coffee shops + brewery are only a short stroll away. Lately converted into 4 light & airy houses, this stylish & comfortable 2 bedroom house includes a private entrance, enclosed garden, and private parking. Lots of attractions within the place additionally an easy drive to Falkland, Perth, Edinburgh & St. Andrews to name but a few. Compact mid terraced house/bungalow within the Old School House building which was converted into 4 quirky and beautiful homes in August 2019. Our 'home from home' is located in a residential area, a quiet spot but only a short walk to restaurants and cafes which are mostly located at the opposite end of the High Street. Kinross is known as the heart of Scotland due to its central location, making it an excellent base for finding other parts of our beautiful country. The M90 is just a 5-minute drive from Kinross & the following villages/cities/attractions are within an easy drive ... Aberdour, Silver Sands Beach, Falkland, Culross, Perth, Linlithgow, Edinburgh, Queensferry Crossing/ The Forth Rail Bridge, The Kelpies, Falkirk Wheel, Fife, St. Andrews, Dundee, Pitlochry plus many more. Edinburgh Airport is just a 30-minute drive away. Kids attractions: Muddy Boots, Deep Sea World, Craigies Farm, Little World of Play, Lochore Meadows, Willowbrae Activity Centre, Silversands Beach, Cairnie Fruit Farm + lots more within easy reach by car. Attractions etc. within Kinross: Kinross has a great choice of restaurants & quirky cafes such as The Kirklands, The Courthouse, The Muirs, Cafe 98, The Boathouse, Unorthodox Roasters coffee shop plus farm shops nearby (Lochend Farm Shop & Loch Leven's Larder with its beautiful gift shop, a play park & stunning views across Loch Leven ). Loch Leven Brewery is a fairly recent addition to Kinross and is located next to the Golf Course. Loch Leven Heritage Trail provides fabulous walks and cycle route and you can also see Loch Leven Castle which is 10 minutes by boat. Mary Queen of Scots was held captive in Loch Leven Castle between 1567-68. There are small boat trips to the island where the castle is located from 1st April to the 31st of October. Kinross has 2 golf courses plus a 3rd golf course located in the next village, Milnathort, which is 5 minutes away by car or a 20-minute walk. Milnathort is a quaint little village which also has some shops and cafes, Heaven Scent cafe is particularly popular with a fabulous menu of fresh food and homemade baking.

Also always in variety of prints of The Secret Commonwealth of Elves, Fauns and Faeries, also referred to as The Secret Lives, the manuscripts of the Reverand Robert Kirk written in 1692 about his nightly visits to the Faery Tree on Doon Hill in Aberfoyle, where he entered the underworld and secret lands of the faeries. The tree on the hill is to this very day festooned in ribbons and wishes to the fairies left by the many visitors and believers. Aberfoyle is in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park area in Scotland less than 1 hr drive from Glasgow. Surrounded by the Queen Elizabeth Forest it is a beautiful place to visit.
