We are BARTLETTS SERVICE STATION, and have been trading in the village of Newchurch on the Isle of Wight since 1970. We started out with 2 staff and are still a family run business that now employs 22. We train all of our workshop staff in all aspects of the motor industry, as we feel that training is a big part of what Bartletts is about. We even have several workshop staff that we have trained up from school - they are still with us today!We also have a competent body shop fitted with state of the art equipment, as is the main workshop. We continue to be one of the best commercial garages on the Isle of Wight, and with all the technology that is being put into new vehicles these days we have to remain one step ahead, which is why we constantly update all information technology, software and training.Within the workshop we have all sizes of ramps to accommodate all sizes of vehicles, we are able to work on anything from cars to lorries, and from trailers to diggers. We also MOT classes 4, 5 and 7, and pre-MOT over our HGV pit for large vehicles and perform brake tests if required.Our premises covers about 8 acres, we are fully insured and have just installed state of the art CCTV.We work closely with health and safety, Environment Agency, Isle of Wight College, council and all emergency services.We have comprehensive induction procedures for all new staff and always ensure those of our staff who need to drive our large fleet of recovery vehicles undertake the correct training. We are constantly updating their training through IVR (institute of vehicle recovery), which enables all our recovery staff to be competent and confident whilst out on the road.All our recovery vehicles are regularly maintained, serviced, inspected and cleaned.We can also offer a steam cleaning service for our vehicles, which is a necessity in a rural environment with country roads and the good old British weather.As a commercial garage with a body shop we are asked to repair all makes of vehicles from many insurance companies and from main dealers on the island. Once repaired we fully valet ready for collection.We are one of the biggest garages on the Island, and have the highest number of commercial sales. We can obtain anything you require - just let us know what you want and we can get it! We specialise in quality commercial vans, mainly ex fleet e.g. BT, TRANSCO, BRITISH GAS, and AA.We don't really advertise this as we find we don't have to - word of mouth has brought us a long way and we pride ourselves on this.
