Gefnir Cottage is available for self catering holidays throughout the year. The cottage is the original farmhouse dating in part to the late 16th centuary. Outside there is a yard and grassy area, and you are welcome to sit in the garden, or walk the surrounding fields and mountans. Inside there are three small bedrooms, a bathroom with shower over the bath, a kitchen/diner with split level cooker, microwave, toaster, dish washer and all utensils and plates etc for a happy holiday, and a sitting room with sky tv, large inglenook with wood burner, dvd player, Art Deco suite and antique side board. There are exposed beams throughout and period features.The cottage is situated about 800 ft. up the lower slopes of Cadair Idris, and has spectacular views of Cardigan Bay, Bardsey Island and the Llyn Penninsular to the front and the mountains to the rear. It is accessed by a narrow road and is 15 minutes by car from the beach of Fairbourne, and is 7 miles from the historic town of Dolgellau
